Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 spotted

Both soon available

The most interesting smartphones of 2017, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6, have finally been spotted. At the moment there are only few pictures showing the looks but apparently the most interesting thing to us is the performance. Especially the comparison of these two phones will be interesting since the Galaxy S8 is supposed to be equipped with a faster SoC than the LG G6.

The image of the Galaxy S8 confirms the initial rumors, that the new Samsung smartphone will not feature a physical home button and the fingerprint scanner is located on the back side next to the camera. The new Galaxy S8 will come with a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S8 Plus will be based around a 6.2-inch panel. Both models will have 4GB of RAM and at least 64GB of expandable storage.

The new LG G6 is completely different than the current model. First of all the Friends will be gone and the battery won’t be removable anymore. Especially the fact, that the LG G series phones featured a removable battery was appreciated by its fanbase. Apart from that the G6 features a very thin bezel, a 5.7-inch display with 2880 x 1440 resolution and a Snapdragon 821 SoC.

Regarding the launch dates of both phones it looks like Samsung will repeat what they’ve done back in the days when they’ve first shown the Galaxy S8. Back then they’ve set up a large event in New York displaying the new phone to a big crowd. This year it looks like they might do something similar on the 29th of March. In the case of the LG G6 it looks like it will be launched one month earlier during MWC in Barcelona.
