ASUS has expanded its curved monitor lineup with a new monitor which features a 37.5-inch panel and 3840 x 1600 resolution at a 21:9 aspect ratio. The ultra-wide IPS panel has a 2300R curvature. Furthermore the solid base comes with a built-in Qi wireless charging pad with a max output of 5W/1A.
As we already mentioned the MX38VQ monitor has been equipped with a 37.5-inch panel and 3840 x 1600 Pixel resolution. There are two HDMI 2.0 connectors and one DisplayPort 1.2 port. The display is based on an IPS panel with 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 14ms response time (5ms GTG). ASUS is marketing this display as a multimedia monitor and for that purpose they’ve integrated 8-watts stereo speakers from Harman Kardon.
Checking out the pictures, this is definitely a good looking monitor, which is thanks to the slim bezel. So far ASUS has not revealed any details on pricing and availability but we are sure that the price will be high due to the size of the display and the high-quality panel.
