All AMD's Ryzen CPUs with unlocked multiplier

No need special edition

During CES 2017 AMD has unveiled that all the upcoming Ryzen CPUs will feature an unlocked multiplier. In other words every processor can be overclocked easily. You might remember that the overclockable parts used to be marketed as “Black Edition”, which appears not to be the case anymore.

So far AMD has not revealed any details on pricing or availability of the upcoming CPUs, yet it’s expected that the launch should take place before the end of Q1 (before the end of March). With Ryzen AMD is might introduce 4-core, 6-core and 8-core models at the same time, which stand in quite a contrast to what Intel has been doing at launch day during the past years, only introducing either high-end or notebook parts.

AMD is also going to release a bunch of new chipsets. There will be the X370, the X300, the B350, the A320 and A/B300. The first three support overclocking while the A320 and the A/B300 will lock the multiplier down.
