AMD to preview Vega GPU on January 5th

During CES 2017

According to the latest rumors AMD will show an advanced Preview on their upcoming Vega GPUs at CES 2017. Vega is going to be AMD’s new flagship graphics card, which has already been shown last month by Raja Koduri, who is the Chief Architect of Radeon Technologies.

So far there are no additional details on the performance numbers yet. From the last event held by AMD we still know that Vega is capable of pumping out 68 fps, running Doom at 4K on the Vulkan API. Nevertheless that should change January 5th 2pm GMT during this year’s CES. Hopefully we’ll not only hear and see more details on Vega but also regarding the Ryzen CPUs. Interestingly, the AMD press conference is going to take place right after Nvidia’s.

AMD has posted a little teaser video on Youtube and as most of the times, they’re making some fun of Nvidia in between the lines. Let’s say just watch out if you can spot “Volta” somewhere at the beginning of the video.
