Powercolor unveils new RX 470 Red Dragon V2

With a center placed single fan

Powercolor has unveiled yet another version of the Radeon RX 470 graphics card, the Powercolor RX 470 Red Dragon V2 with 4GB of GDDR5 memory.

Featuring a simple cooler design, with a single centered placed 100mm fan, copper core and two copper heatpipes connecting it to a large heatsink, the new Powercolor RX 470 Red Dragon V2 will probably have a lower price tag.

Despite its simpler cooler, the Radeon RX 470 Red Dragon V2 graphics card is still factory-overclocked and works at 1206MHz GPU Boost clock, while 4GB of GDDR5 memory is clocked at 6.6GHz. It uses 256-bit memory interface, draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector and is based on AMD's Polaris 10 GPU with 2048 Stream Processors, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

Powercolor still has one of the cheapest Radeon RX 480 graphics cards on the market as its RX 480 Red Dragon is selling for US $189.99. The Powercolor RX 470 Red Dragon V2 4GB is already available and it is the cheapest RX 470 on the market, selling at US $159.99 at Newegg.com.
