Ubisoft's latest 1.5 patch for Tom Clancy's The Division game has brought plenty of bug fixes and improvements to the game but also added DirectX 12 support, bringing improved performance on systems that support it.
According to a report from DSOGaming.com, the support for DirectX 12 brought slightly improves framerates, especially on systems with older CPUs. Of course, Nvidia users have nothing to rejoice but those running on AMD graphics cards and AMD CPUs might have something to look for.
The picture on the site confirms that the new DirectX 12 API can be enabled in video settings and a video from user shows comparison between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12, with a difference of around 20 fps, which is quite an improvement.
We already knew that Microsoft's DirectX 12 API will bring big improvements and now it is all up to developers to implement it and hopefully we will see it in more games.
