After unveiling the Geforce GTX 1080 powered Zotac Magnus EN1080 for its 10-year anniversary, Zotac has now announced a similar version of the Magnus mini-PC which is powered by AMD's Radeon RX 480 graphics card.
Since the Radeon RX 480 has a much lower TDP compared to the GTX 1080, the new Zotac Magnus ERX480 has a smaller footprint compared to the Magnus EN1080. Based on Intel's 6th generation Skylake Core i5-6400T quad-core CPU and Radeon RX 480 with 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM, makes the Magnus ERX480 more than capable to get a VR-Ready badge as well as give it support for both AMD Eyefinity with support for up to four displays and AMD FreeSync technology.
The precise dimensions of the Zotac Magnus ERX480 are set at 210x203x62.2mm, while the rest of the specifications include a support for up to 32GB of DDR4-2133 memory in two SODIMM slots, single M.2 SATA 6Gbps SSD slot, one 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbps port, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2, one USB 3.1, one USB 3.1 Type-C, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, 3-in-1 card reader, two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.3 outputs.
Unlike the Magnus EN1080, which had a liquid cooling system, the Magnus ERX480 is air-cooled.
As always, Zotac Magnus ERX480 will be available in standard barebone, Plus and Plus with Windows 10 versions. The Plus version adds a 120GB M.2 SATA SSD, 1TB 2.5-inch SATA HDD and 8GB of DDR4-2133 memory in a single slot, while the other version also adds Windows 10 64-bit OS.
Unfortunately, Zotac did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date.
