ASUS teases new 240Hz ROG gaming monitor

Coming in early 2017

ASUS has once again teased its upcoming ROG Swift PG258Q, which should be the successor of the earlier released 180Hz ROG Swift PG248Q 24-inch 1080p gaming monitor.

According to the details published over at ROG.ASUS.com, the new ROG Swift PG258Q will have a 24.5-inch panel with 1920x1080 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.

Since this is a PG-series monitor, it will also feature support for Nvidia G-Sync technology but hopefully we will see a similar version with AMD FreeSync as well.

While we still do not have all the details, judging by the pictures, the new ROG Swift PG258Q will have the same design as some earlier ROG Swift monitors as well as the same black, silver and orange color scheme (Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper) with ROG lighting. It will also have usual tilt, pivot and height adjustments

ASUS mentions "early 2017" as the official release date so we are betting that this will be the crown jewel in ASUS' CES 2017 lineup and we are certainly looking forward to it.
