EVGA officially launches GTX 1080 Hybrid graphics card

Priced at US $729.99

EVGA has now officially launched its latest Geforce GTX 1080 graphics card, the EVGA GTX 1080 Hybrid, featuring a hybrid liquid+air cooler.

Based on the same PCB as the GTX 1080 Classified version, the new EVGA GTX 1080 Hybrid comes with 10+2-phase VRM, powered by 8+8-pin PCIe power connector, has a backplate, and features two BIOS chips.

The EVGA GTX 1080 Hybrid also comes with the same factory-overclocked setting as the Classified version, pushing the GPU to 1721MHz base and 1860 GPU Boost clocks with 8GB of GDDR5X memory working at reference 10,000MHz.

The biggest feature of the EVGA GTX 1080 Hybrid is its cooler which combines the standard blower style dual-slot air cooler, which takes care of the VRM and memory, with an AiO liquid cooler, which comes with a 120mm radiator and copper base block, which cools down the GPU. According to EVGA, it should keep the GPU 20 to 30 degrees cooler under load compared to standard air coolers.

Currently listed only on EVGA's own website, the GTX 1080 Hybrid is priced at US $729.99.
