According to the newest report, Open Beta for EA/DICE Battlefield 1 could launch shortly after Gamescom, which will be held from August 17 to 21 in Cologne, Germany.

The report comes from Reddit and was spotted in a livestream where a Battlefield German Community Manage revealed that Open Beta will be coming shortly after Gamescom.

This is definitely good news as it will give EA/DICE enough time to fix all the issues noticed in the currently ongoing Alpha stage of the game.

This piece of information is also quite important as there was a big interest for Closed Alpha stage. The same report also suggest that those signed up to Battlefield Insider will be able to play it three days earlier so in case you are eager to get on it, you should sign up.

In case you somehow missed it earlier, Battlefield 1 is set in World War I and is expected to launch on October 21st for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
