Now that the AMD Radeon RX 480 is officially launched in its reference form, it does not come as a surprise that we are starting to hear some of the first details regarding custom versions from usual AMD AIB partners.
Earlier this month we had a chance to see the
Powercolor teaser which suggested that we will see a new Devil series graphics card and today we have a couple of teasers from ASUS, MSI and Sapphire.
ASUS Republic of Gamers has written a blog post regarding the upcoming ASUS RX 480 Strix graphics card that will feature both the triple-fan DirectCU III cooler as well as ASUS' AURA RGB lighting feature. It will probably have a significant factory-overclock but ASUS did not go into any details.
MSI also released a small teaser suggesting that we will see the MSI Gaming X series Radeon RX 480 which will use the Twin Frozr VI cooler and which should be coming soon.
Sapphire's Nitro series RX 480 has been pictured earlier and it is rumored to use both the dual-fan cooler, black diamond chokes and feature both an 8-pin PCIe power connector and DVI port.
AMD Radeon RX 480 got some good reviews and while the performance was quite good, making it one of the best price/performance graphics cards around, the reference blower-style cooler was not that good, making these custom graphics cards a welcomed sight.
