Racoon hits 5.0GHz with Core i7-6950X

Plans to push it even further

Our in-house overclocker, Mike (Racoon) Buchroither, has gotten a new toy in the form of Intel's flagship Broadwell-E Core i7-6950X CPU and he has been overclocking the hell out of it, currently hitting a maximum stable frequency of 5.0GHz.

Racoon from MIFCOM Ocaholic team is currently having fun in the World Series in 2016 Asia Computex 2016, an overclocking competition which started today at the Computex 2016 show in Taipei.

The competition requires exclusive use of a Core i7-6950X CPU, with memory and SSD from Zadak511, all powered by a Seasonic power supply. The event is divided into stages and at the moment, with the stages closed, our dear Mike managed to get the fourth place, just one point behind the German overclocker Bullshooter.

We added a couple of links regarding Mike's scores and we hope soon to see some other interesting overclocking scores soon.
