While most partners have already announced their Founders Edition, reference versions, of the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 graphics card, we are still waiting to see the previously announced cheaper custom versions and today we might have a first picture of the one coming from Galax.
Aimed to hit Nvidia's announced US $599 suggested retail price, the custom GTX 1080 from Galax uses a plastic blower fan. It also lacks the rear backplate and this is probably what most "cheap" GTX 1080 versions will look like.
Bear in mind that partners will also most likely announce their "special" custom versions, whcih should feature much better cooling solution and higher factory overclock but also could have a significantly higher price tags.
The good side of the story is that it appears that the cheaper custom versions will also use Nvidia's reference PCB design so these should be also compatible with both upcoming water blocks as well as aftermarket custom coolers.
