Nvidia demoed Doom 2016 on GTX 1080

Maxed out at 1080p

During its pre-Dreamhack show where it announced both its new Pascal-based Geforce graphics cards, the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070, Nvidia also showcased a neat gameplay video of the Doom 2016 game, running on Geforce GTX 1080 and Vulkan API.

Doom 2016 was running on GTX 1080 and it was all maxed out with framerates ranging from 60 to 110fps. The video gameplay video included the single-player campaign and it looks like a lot of fun. It is also important to note that the game was running on Vulkan API, which is the first time we see that.

Doom 2016 officially launched in just a few days and hopefully we will get to try it out as well, in both DirectX and Vulkan API modes.

Just a few days ago, Bethesda has released both minimum and recommended system requirements.

The game will launch on May 13th at 12 am local time so it will be depend on the region but Bethesda made sure that you can pre-load the game, which starts on May 11th on Steam, Playstation Store and Xbox Live.
