AMD has updated its FreeSync website to list refresh rate ranges of all currently available FreeSync-compatible monitors.
In case you somehow missed it, FreeSync is AMD's answer to Nvidia G-Sync and its an adaptive synchronization technology for monitors that support dynamic refresh rate by dynamically adapting the display refresh rate to graphics card frame rate in order to deal with stuttering and screen tearing. What makes the AMD FreeSync special is the fact that it is royalty-free and a part of VESA DisplayPort 1.2a specification, with dynamic refresh rate range of 9 to 240Hz.
AMD has made quite a list on its website listing all available monitors from Acer, AOC, ASUS, BenQ, EIZO, Iiyama, LG, Samsung, Viewsonic and others with size, panel type, resolution, frequency range, interface and LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) support.
The FreeSync frequency range is definitely the most important details as the wider range provides much more room adaptive refresh rate and provide better stutter- and tear-free gaming experience. Another important thing is the support for LFC (Low Framerate Compensation), an algorithm from AMD that extends FreeSync support down to 30 FPS or less, which should help mainstream and entry-level GPUs.
While there are still things to consider when buying a monitor, AMD's FreeSync table will certainly help you pick the one that you need and it is always a good thing to have everything in one place for easier comparison.
