HP has unveiled its newest Chromebook 13 G1 notebook which pushes the Chromebook design to a whole new level with brushed aluminum body and Intel Skylake Core M CPUs.
Packed in a beautiful looking brushed aluminum chassis which is just 12.9mm thick, the HP Chromebook 13 G1 certainly looks like everything except Chromebooks that we used to see earlier, with an exception of Google's high-end Pixel notebook.
Coming with a choice of Intel Pentium 4405Y, Core m3-6Y30 or Core m5-6Y57 CPUs, up to 16GB of RAM, a choice between a 13-inch 1080p or 3200x1800 screen, the HP Chromebook 13 G1 packs a decent amount of performance punch, which, according to HP, was a perfect balance between performance and battery life.
The HP Chromebook 13 G1 also comes with two USB 3.1 Type-C ports and single USB 3.1 Type-A port, which can be expanded with
HP's US $149 priced Elite USB-C Docking Station, which can power additional displays from DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, adds Ethernet prots and five USB ports.
According to HP, the battery life is set at around 11.5 hours and it will run on Google's Chrome OS.
The HP Chromebook 13 G1 will be available by the end of this month with a price starting at US $499.
