Nintendo has revealed that its next-generation console, called the Nintendo NX, will launch globally in March 2017.
During its financial report, Nintendo announced that it is currently developing a gaming platform, codenamed NX, that is scheduled to launch globally in March next year.
Nintendo will probably reveal more information regarding the console during the E3 2016 show in June but so far there have been plenty of rumors including the fact that it will be running on AMD hardware.
It will also feature 900p 60fps gaming with 4K/UHD support and according to developers, games are quite easy to develop, something that is quite important. It will support Frostbite, UE4 and Unity engines and have a similar controller to the Wii U.
Nintendo was also keen to note that the new Nintendo NX console won't replace Wii U or the 3DS, which means that both consoles will coexist with the NX.
While it had a lot of success with the Wii U, the fame did not last long as the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft raised the bar significantly. Unfortunately, we still have to wait for E3 2016 show to hear more information about it.
