During its special event, HP has unveiled its new HP Spectre 13.3 notebook with some rather impressive specifications and claiming the world's thinnest notebook at 10.4mm.
During a special event at the New York Times International Luxury Conference in Versailles, HP has unveiled the new Spectre 13.3 notebook which uses a CNC machined aluminum chassis and packs quite an impressive list of specifications in a beautiful looking 10.4mm thick body.
Designed around a 13.3 FHD IPS edge-to-edge screen coated with Corning Gorilla glass and featuring a wide choice of Intel 6th generation Core Skylake Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs, the new HP Spectre 13.3 notebook is more of a piece of art than anything HP released so far.
Combining CNC machined chassis with a carbon fiber bottom, allowed HP to both keep the profile at just 10.4mm but also pushed the weight down to just 1.11kg (2.45 pounds), which is quite impressive for a 13.3-inch notebook.
HP also included a couple of other unique features like the piston hinge design, hyperbaric cooling system, Dual HP speakers with custom-tuned audio developed in cooperation with Bang & Olufsen, backlit keyboard and glass trackpad and much more.
The rest of the known specifications also include up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage, up to 8GB of RAM, 802.11ac 2x2 WiFi and three USB 3.1 Type-C ports, two of which are Thunderbolt 3-capable and more.
Although the standard HP Spectre 13.3 notebook is a piece of art, HP also went a bit further by creating a special gold and diamond version, created by Tord Boontje and Jess Hannah, which will be auctioned at the Cannes Film Festival.
According to HP, the new Spectre 13.3 notebook should provide up to nine hours of battery life and should start at US $1169.99 when it launches at yet to be specified date.
