It appears that dedicated GPU market took a hit once again and although it reported a rise compared to the last quarter, the overall shipments actually dropped by 9 percent compared to the last year.
According to a report from Jon Peddie Research, overal GPU shipments increased by 2.4 percent in Q4 2015, compared to the previous quarter. While shipments did rise compared to the previous quarter, the actual dedicated GPU market dropped by 9 percent compared to the last year.
AMD has managed to somewhat increase its market share to by 5.16 percent, which still does not help it a lot as Nvidia had a 8.41 percent increase.
The good side of the story is that the PC market increased by just over 2 percent compared to the last quarter but it also suffered a drop of 10.27 percent compared to the last year.
