Previously showcased at CES 2016 show as a part of Samsung's new 1800R curvature series of monitors, Samsung has now officially unveiled its two new curved monitors, the CF591 and the CF390.
Both based on the same 27-inch 1920x1080 VA panel with 1800R screen curvature, both the CF591 and CF390 will share pretty much the same specifications, only with a slight difference in a number of inputs and integrated speakers. As noted, both monitors have the same 27-inch VA panel display with a maximum of 250nit brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms response time and 178°/178° viewing angles.
The difference lies in a number of inputs as the CF390 will only feature a HDMI input and lack integrated speakers, while the CF591 will have DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 1.4 inputs as well as stereo 5W speakers.
Samsung has also prepared another 1800R curved monitor, the CF391, which will use a 32-inch 1800R curved VA panel with slightly higher contrast ratio and the same specs as the CF390.
Both monitors should have support for AMD's FreeSync adaptive refresh rate technology and a rather affordable price tag of somewhere around US $350. Unfortunately, we do not have a precise launch date or the precise price for either of these models.
