EK Water Blocks has announced its newest full-cover block designed for MSI's Radeon R9 390X Gaming 8G graphics card, the EK-FC R9-390X TF5.
The new EK-FC R9-390X TF5 is based on a full-cover design, which mean sit directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as the VRM part of the graphics card and is solely designed to replace the original TwinFrozr V cooler found on the MSI Radeon R9 390X Gaming 8G graphics card.
The base of the block is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of either POM Acetal or acrylic material, depending on the version. The new EK-FC R9-390X TF5 water block also uses EKWB's central inlet split-flow cooling engine which makes it suitable for use with both reversed water flow systems as well liquid cooling systems with weaker pumps.
EK Water Blocks will also offer an optional retention backplate made from black anodized aluminum which cools the backside of the PCB as well as provide additional structural rigidity.
The new EK-FC R9-390X TF5 water block should already be available via EK Webshop and its Partner Reseller Network with a price set at €122.95 for the Nickel and Acetal+Nickel versions while the black EK-FC R9-390X TF5 backplate will sell for €29.95.
