Alpenfohn unveils new Olymp CPU cooler

With dual fin-stack design

Alpenfohn has announced its newest Olymp CPU cooler which will feature a twin-tower fin-stack design and should offer premium thermal performance in its segment.

Based on a standard tower design with two fin-stack aluminum heatsinks which are connected to the nickel-plated copper base via six 6mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes, the Alpenfohn Olymp CPU cooler will be able to handle thermal loads of up to 340W. The two heatsinks are designed in such a way to increase air turbulence and improve heat dissipation.

The precise dimension of the Olymp is set at 65x151x150mm and it weighs 1.2 kg, which will put significant pressure on the CPU socket, so hopefully it comes with hefty backplate.

The Alpenfohn Olymp comes with two 140mm fans in push-pull configuration, each spinning at 300 to 1400RPM and pushing 123 m³/h of air while producing 8 to 26.8dBA of noise.

The Alpenfohn Olymp supports all modern CPU sockets including Intel LGA 2011v3, LGA 115x as well as AMD AM3+ and FM2+ sockets and comes bundled with Alpenfohn Permafrost TIM.

Unfortunately, Alpenfohn did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but we will surely keep an eye on it.
