The Aqua Computer Skylake Spacer can be used with delidded Skylake CPU and can prevent bending and breaking of the silicon die when CPU cooler is mounted or when the system is transported. Since Skylake PCB substrate is thinner compared to the previous generations, these have higher surface pressure and tend to break, something that the Aqua Computer Spacer easily fixes.

Made from a CNC laser machined stainless spring steel sheet with a very thing heat resistant adhesive tape, the Aqua Computer Skylake Spacer is 1/100 mm lower than the CPU die, thus ensuring that it provides rigidity but does not interfere with the CPU cooler.
