MSI has rather silently released its newest version of the Geforce GTX 980 Ti graphics card, the MSI Geforce GTX 980 Ti Armor2X.
Based on a cost-effective design and featuring a dual-fan cooler with a color scheme that should fit well with MSI's black and white Krait motherboards, the new MSI Geforce GTX 980 Ti Armor2X is based on Nvidia's well known GM200 GPU with 2816 CUDA cores and packs 6GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface.
Listed on MSI's website, the new MSI Geforce GTX 980 Ti Armor2X also features a factory-overclock pushing the GPU base clock to 1178MHz and GPU Boost clock to 1279MHz. The aforementioned 6GB of GDDR5 memory remained at reference 7010MHz.
The new MSI Geforce GTX 980 Ti Armor2X still needs 6-pin and 8-pin PCI-Express connectors for power and comes with single DVI, single HDMI and three DisplayPort outputs.
Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the price or the availability date but most similar GTX 980 Ti graphics cards are currently selling for around €680.
