According to a new report, Nvidia is allegedly considering a price-cut for its high-end graphics cards, including the GTX 980 Ti and possibly GTX 980 and GTX 970 graphics card in order to counter AMD's recently launched Radeon Fury X graphics card.

While AMD has rebranded and launched its new Radeon R9 300 series graphics cards, which should go head to head with Nvidia GTX 900 series offer, as well as launched its new Radeon R9 Fury X Fiji GPU based graphics card, which has the same price as the Geforce GTX 980 Ti and offers similar performance, Nvidia is now considering a price-cut that could put additional pressure on AMD.

According to a report from Kitguru.net, Nvidia is allegedly considering ways to improve sales of its high-end graphics cards, and one of those ways could be a price-cut.

Despite earlier reports and hype created before the launch, calling it "the GTX Titan X killer", AMD Radeon R9 Fury X is pretty much trading blows with the Geforce GTX 980 Ti, rather than the GTX Titan X graphics card.

According to the same report, prices of the GTX 980 Ti and the GTX 980 are very competitive in the U.S., but not so much in Europe and the U.K., which should push Nvidia to further adjust pricing in some regions.

If such thing happens, AMD might also further adjust its prices, for both Radeon R9 Fury X as well as the entire Radeon R9 300 series, and just a few days after the launch, so we might see yet another price-war between AMD and Nvidia.

Unfortunately, Nvidia did not have an official comment on the story but we will probably hear and see more pretty soon.
