Intel unveils new DC S3510 SSD series

Aimed at data centers

Intel has rather quietly introduced its latest DC S3510 SSD aimed to be used in data centers.

Based on a standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6Gbps interface, the new Intel DC S3510 is based on SET (standard-endurance technology) 16nm MLC NAND flash built by IMFlash Technology and will be available in 80 GB, 120 GB, 240 GB, 480 GB, 800 GB, 1.2 TB, and 1.6 TB capacities.

It offers sequential performance of up to 500MB/s for read and up to 460MB/s (depending on the version) with maximum random 4K performance of up to 68,000 IOPS read and up to 15,300 IOPS write. It also features native 256-bitr AES encryption, can take up to 880 TBW (Total Bytes Written) endurance rating and is backed by a 5-year warranty.

According to Intel, the new DC S3510 SSD series should already be available of OEMs.
