Nvidia announces Digits Devbox system at GTC 2015

Linux-based US $15,000 system with Titan X quad-SLI

During its GPU Technology Conference 2015, Nvidia has announced its newest Digits Devbox system, a "world's fastest deskside deep learning system" based on four GTX Titan X graphics cards and US $15,000 price tag.

The Digits Devbox is pretty much a pre-built system based on Linux OS and Digits software, aimed to be used for deep learning, which is pretty much what GTC 2015 was all about. The Digits Devbox is based on four GTX Titan X graphics cards and while the rest of the specifications were not revealed it runs on 1300W PSU and, according to Jen-Hsun Huang, provides the most computational performance as you can draw from a wall socket.

The Digits DevBox provides a rather staggering 28 TFLOPS of single-precision compute performance and is surely an impressive system, which, according to Nvidia, is tuned to perfection and can be further tuned for specific tasks.

With a price set at US $15,000 per box, it surely has to be an impressive system.
