ASUS adds X99 motherboard to TUF lineup

Meet the Sabertooth X99 with NVMe support

While ASUS had plenty of X99 based motherboards to brag about, we were wondering when it will actually launch a The Ultimate Force (TUF) series motherboard based on Intel's X99 Express chipset and Haswell-E CPUs. It appears that ASUS has heard us and will be presenting its new ASUS Sabertooth X99 TUF motherboard at CeBIT show in Hannover.

Just as it was the case with latest Z97 TUF models, the X99 Sabertooth TUF also comes with front and rear reinforcement plates called ASUS TUF Fortifier and Thermal Armor, PCI-Express slot dust guards, TUF Detective hardware and software feature for connecting it to your smartphone and allow you to turn-on, restart, clear CMOS, view voltages and live system clock speeds, similar to ROG Connect, electrostatic discharge protection for IO ports, controller for 11 fans and 12 sensors as well as a five year warranty, which is a trademark of the TUF series.

What is also interesting is that it will also have USB 3.1 Type-A ports, NVM Express support via Hyper Kit M.2 adapter, something that we have yet to see.

The rest of the specifications include all the goodies that you would expect from Intel X99 Express chipset based motherboard and the recognizable design and color scheme of ASUS' TUF series.

Unfortunately, ASUS is apparently keeping the rest of the information for CeBIT show in Hannover so we should hear and see more about it soon.
