While it was originally expected to be launched in the second quarter of the year, according to the latest report, Intel's Skylake desktop chips might be delayed to late August.
According to the new report from Digitimes.com, citing motherboard manufacturers as the source, Intel has delayed Skylake desktop parts to late August. According to the report, Intel has informed motherboard manufacturers about the delay and this one could also have a serious impact on Broadwell-U, Haswell Refresh and even the development of Broadwell 65W TDP chips as well.
Earlier reports suggested that Skylake desktop parts, including 100-series chipset motherboards, were expected to show up at Computex 2015 show in June, which is still possible although the same report suggest that motherboard manufactures will not be able to do so, Intel will not ship them before late August or September.
