EVGA officially launches GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition

With 14+3-phase VRM and ACX 2.0+ cooler

Teased earlier this year and showcased running during CES 2015 show held in Las Vegas in January, EVGA has now officially announced and launched its new EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition graphics card that will feature a new custom PCB with 14+3-phase VRM, ACX 2.0+ cooler as well as a high-factory overclock.

Aimed for those that are looking the best possible version of the Nvidia GTX 980 graphics card based on the well known GM204 GPU with 2048 CUDA cores, as well as hardcore overclockers, thanks to its custom 12-layer PCB with 14+3-phase VRM powered by 8+8+6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, the new EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition will also pack some other impressive features that makes it the cream of the crop GTX 980 graphics card.

As noted, the new EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition will feature a high factory-overclock of 1291++ MHz for the GPU base and 1393++ MHz for the GPU Boost clock while 4GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 256-bit memory interface, is set to work at reference 7010MHz.

The list of extra features on the new EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition is rather extensive and start the new ACX 2.0+ dual double ball bearing fan cooler that does not spin up when the temperature is below 60C and also features Straight HeatPipes (SHP) as well as Memory MOSFET cooling plate (MMCP+).

When it comes to cooling, it is also good to see that the EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition cooler also comes with a metal shroud as well as a backplate. The rest of the premium feature also include customizable lighting, single slot ready display outputs which makes it suitable for liquid cooling block, EVBot support, Onboard Thermal Sensors (OTS), Quck Switch Triple (QST) BIOS and much more.

The new EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N Edition is currently up for pre-order with a price set at US $749.99, which also makes it one of the most expensive GTX 980 graphics cards on the market, but that is the price you have to pay for all those premium features.
