EK Water Blocks, a well known liquid cooling manufacturer from Ljubljana, Slovenia, has announced its newest universal hybrid cooling kit, which includes MOSFET water block and a passive PCH heatsink, designed to be used on Gigabyte's X99 series motherboards.
The EK-FB KIT GA X99 LE, as EKWB decided to name it, is a hybrid liquid cooling solution for Gigabyte's X99 series motherboards and is more aimed at value oriented market. The EK-FB KIT GA X99 LE features the VRM liquid cooling block as well as a passive heatsink for the X99 PCH. As this is an universal PCH cooling solution, it can be used on any available Gigabyte X99 series motherboard.
The supplied VRM liquid cooling block directly cool the power regulation part of the motherboard (VRM/MOSFETs) while the passive aluminum heatsink takes care of the Intel X99 southbridge (PCH). The new EK-FB KIT GA X99 LE is not aimed at extreme overclockers since it just replaces the stock Gigabyte X99 heatsinks and cools exactly as much heat as Gigabyte's components normally produce. On the other hand, it also features a high flow design which allows it to be used in liquid cooling systems with weaker pumps.
The base of the VRM liquid cooling block is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of acrylic glass. It also comes with pre-installed screw-in standoffs.
Earlier, EKWB has launched its EK Cooling Configurator database which is updated with new products and is an easy way to check the compatibility support.
The new EK-FB KIT GA X99 LE hybrid kit should already be available via EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network with a price set at €64,95.
