ASUS announces a new 27-inch 16:9 UHD monitor

The PB279Q

The UHD resolution madness continues and ASUS has annoucned a new 27-inch model monitor with 1.07 billion colors, or a 100% of Adobe's sRBG gamut, the ASUS PB279Q.

With the ASUS PB279Q, you get a 27-inch screen capable of displaying 3840x2160 at 60 Hz or 30 Hz.

It uses a W-LED UHD IPS panel which adds up to 163ppi of pixel density. The ASUS PB279Q features brightness of 300cd/m², contrast ratio of 1000000: 1, viewing angles of 178° and 178°, Grey to Grey response time of 5ms and, it is capable of displaying 100% of Adobe's sRGB color panel, either 10-bit or 1.07 billion.

As far as the connectivity goes, the ASUS PB279Q is equipped with four HDMI/MHL ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, a mini-DisplayPort 1.2 as well as audio input and output (two 2W speakers), but has no USB hub.
