Super Talent has announced its new line of DDR4 DRAM modules aimed to be used with Intel's next-generation Xeon server CPUs based on Haswell architecture.


Providing double the rate of data when compared to DDR3 DRAM, the DDR4 DRAM allows increased module densities to provide greater DRAM capacity. The new DDR4 DRAM also has lower power draw of 1.2V which is 20 percent lower when compared to 1.5V with DDR3 DRAM.

According to Super Talent, this lower power usage and higher bandwidth allow overhead cost to be reduced while providing higher performance.

Unfortunately, Super Talent did not shed any precise details regarding its full lineup but a quick check at Super Talent's web site reveals full DDR4 lineup including ECC UDIMM, LRDIMM, RDIM, SODIMM and UDIMM DDR4 DRAM modules in 4 and 8GB capacities and with PC4-17000 data rate, or precisely 2133MHz frequency.

Super Talent also did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but we are sure these will show up in retail/e-tail quite soon.
