MSI shows a new GTX 970

Golden Edition OC

Introduced at the BeatIT 2014 event, MSI has now released the new GTX 970 Golden Edition OC. The card will be available only for some region in limited edition. Based on pretty much the same design as the MSI GTX 970 Gaming graphics card, the Gold version has a pure-copper heatsink and a different color scheme.

The new MSI Geforce GTX Gold graphics card is based on the same PCB design as the already available MSI GTX 970 Gaming graphics card but has a slightly different cooler design. It uses a pure-copper heatsink has exposed copper heatpipes and comes with a gold-orange color shroud scheme. The backplate also got slight redesign with unique vent patter and a gold dragon logo.

Like the Gaming version, also the Golden Edition uses Torx fans with 10 cm of diameter which ensure a good cooling maintaining a low noise level. Thanks to the Hybrid Frozr system, the fans spin only with high loads while on 2D are completely off.

With the release of Golden Edition, MSI shows a model perfect for modders who is looking for something of exclusive. At the moment MSI has not revealed details on pricing and availability.
