Nvidia preparing Geforce GTX 960 as well

Coming in mid- to late-October 2014

It appears that Geforce GTX 980 and GTX 970 will not be the only new GPUs that Nvidia plans to launch this year as according to the recent report, we might also see a mid-range GTX 960 in mid- to late-October 2014.

While there still no details regarding the actual specifications of the GTX 960, it simply makes sense for Nvidia to cover all market segments with the new Maxwell GPU based graphics cards and sub-$300 graphics cards, which will be the target price for the GTX 960, usually make most money for any graphics company, at least more than flagship graphics cards.

According to the report from Hermitage Akihabara, caught by Techpowerup.com, Nvidia will launch the GTX 960 sometime in mid- to late-October 2014.

In case you missed it earlier, Nvidia will be hosting the Game24 event later this week, on 18th of Septmeber where the company is expected to launch its new Geforce GTX 970 and GTX 980 Maxwell-based graphics cards.
