Crytek has released new and officially system requirements for the PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome. The more surprising fact is that these new system requirements are actually lower than earlier released ones.
According to Crytek, earlier recommended PC system requirements were for playing the title at 4K resolution rather than 1080p, and this latest specification revision actually focuses on more mid-range systems.
According to Crytek, "there was some initial confusion about the System Requirements (as we originally posted the specs needed for 4k as recommended on the Store page), we wanted to give you a bit more insight into the system requirements to run the game and some examples of fitting CPUs and GPUs in the three categories.”
Currently and according to the updated specifications on the
Steam Community page, the current recommended PC system requirements include Intel Core i5 2500K or AMD FX-6350 or better CPU, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 660Ti or AMD Radeon R7 260X or better graphics card, 64-bit OS and 26GB of free storage space.
In case you missed it earlier, 4K system requirements included an Intel Core i7 CPU or AMD FX-8350 as well an Nvidia GTX 780/Titan or an AMD R9 290X graphics card.
As announced earlier last week, PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome is coming to PC on October 10th.
