Although it was originally scheduled for Q1 2015 launch, it appears that Intel's Braswell 14nm silicon has slipped to Q2 2015 as Intel is having some troubles with this silicon and manufacturing process.
Currently, Intel relies on Pentium N parts which are aimed at entry level tablets, notebooks and All-In-Ones, and the fastest part in the Pentium N series is the Pentium N3540. This quad-core SKU works at 2.16GHz base and 2.66GHz Turbo clock, has 2MB of cache, supports DDR3L 1333 memory and has a graphics part clocked at 313/896MHz. The TDP and SDP for this part are set at 7.5W and 4.5W.
The Braswell quad-core Airmont based part will have a much more performance as that quad-core part will support DDR3L 1600 memory, have full hardware acceleration decoder and encoder, support for SATA 3.0, support for three 2560x1600 displays, have Intel HD graphics with 16 EUs and DirectX 11 support. It also comes with couple of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports as well as 4-lane PCI-Express 2.0 interface.
The Braswell is quite important for mobile market and Intel is mostly aiming at entry-level 2-in-1s, something that has been quite popular lately.
According to current schedule, we will not see these before April next year, or in worse case scenario, late June 2015.
