With the imminent launch of Intel's newest Haswell-E HEDT platform, which includes the Haswell-E CPUs and the new Intel X99 Express chipset, with support for DDR4 memory, G.SKILL has now officially announced its latest Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 memory kits which will be available in capacities of up to 64GB, frequency of up to 3200 and tight CL15 latency.
The new G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 lineup starts exactly where the DDR3 memory has stopped, at 2133MHz. To be available in 2133MHz, 400MHz, 2666MHz, 2800MHz, 3000MHz, and 3200MHz as well as capacities of 16GB (4GBx4), 32GB (8GBx4 / 4GBx8) and 64GB (8GBx8), these new kits will use low voltage of 1.2V and 1.35V with latencies of 15-15-15-35 or 16-16-16-36, depending on the frequency.
As expected, the Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 kits will support Intel XMP 2.0 and will be validated for compatibility with most upcoming X99 Express chipset based motherboards and have been tested for quad-channel memory action.
The G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 memory kits will feature a completely new heatspreader, which will be available in red, blue and black colors. With the same 40mm height as previous Ripjaws series, these modules will also be compatible with most CPU heatsinks.
Unfortunately, G.SKILL did not shed any info on the precise availability date or the price of the new Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 memory kits but we are quite sure these will available with the launch of the new Intel Haswell-E HEDT platform.
