In just a week after the official release of the new Intel Ivy Bridge-E Core i7 Extreme CPU, G.Skill memory managed to reach new records, this time with the fastest DDR3 quad-channel 16GB kit that was working at an impressive 4072MHz.
The 16GB (4x4GB) G.Skill TridentX memory kit was overclocked to an impressive DDR3 4072MHz frequency and is actually the first quad-channel DDR3 memory kit to break the 4GHz barrier. The kit was put to the test together with Intel's Core i7-4960X CPU as well as the Asus Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard and LN2 cooling.
