In addition to a new Transformer Pad, couple of FonePads as well as a Android-powered notebook and bunch of other products, during IFA 2013 Asus also announce two new members of the MeMO Pad family, the MeMO Pad 10 and the MeMO Pad 8.
Both new MeMO Pad tablets are pretty identical in terms of specifications and the only difference lies in the screen size of 10- or 8-inch. Both also feature the same 1280x800 WXGA resolution and are powered by the same and still unknown 1.6GHz quad-core CPU paired up with 1GB of RAM.
The smaller 8-inch MeMO Pad weighs in at 350g and features rear 5-megapixel rear as well as 1.2-megapixel front camera and 8GB of storage space expandable by microSD card slot. The rest of the specs include 3950mAh battery enough for up to 9 hours of video playback, according to Asus.
The bigger MeMO Pad 10 is not that much different but quite bulkier at 522g. It also comes with a smaller 2-megapixel rear camera as well as 16GB of storage space. It also features a much larger 5070mAh battery that should give it up to 9.5 hours of video placback.
Both tablets also share the same dual-speakers on the back and should be Asus push into budget-friendly part of the tablet market. Unfortunately, Asus did not shed any details regarding the price.
