Chinese memory maker, Kingfast has announce an interesting C-Drive SSD with 1TB of capacity based on a unique RAID 0 configuration with two subunits each using now quite famous Sandforce SF-2281 controller.
]Placed inside a standard 2.5-inch, 9.5mm thick form factor, the new C-Drive actually uses two 512GB units stripped in an internal RAID 0 configuration. It uses standard SATA 6Gbps interface and each of the 512GB "subunits" features its own Sandforce SF-2281 controller. Unfortunately, judging from the specs, the C-Drive might not support TRIM due to its unique RAID 0 configuration.
According to Kingfast, the C-Drive offers sequential write and read speeds set at 532MB/s and 559MB/s and it is clear that it is bottlenecked by the SATA 6Gbps interface but it is still the fastest SATA 6Gbps SSD around.
