During Next@Acer, Acer has unveiled several new products regarding their Predator series of products. During the show, the company has presented a big and powerful gaming PC named Predator Orion 5000, the new Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop and Nitro 50 entry level gaming PCs. All the upcoming products should become available during next months.
According to Acer, the Predator Orion 5000 is a powerful gaming PC ever made by the company. It can be ordered with up to two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The system is based on a Intel Z370 motherboard paired with a Intel Core i7-8700K and up to 64GB of memory. The Orion 5000 comes with several fans installed and separate thermal zones with individual tunnels in order to maintain a good airflow. The case sports an aggressive design with several RGB LEDs and a big window. Storage wise, the system can be configured with up to 3TB 3.5" HDD and 512GB 2.5" SSD.
If you are a casual gamer, you won't need the Acer Predator Orion 5000 with SLI GPUs and powerful components. If you are looking for an entry level solution, Acer has unveiled the Nitro 50 series. Inside a Nitro 50 gaming PC you can find locked Coffee Lake CPUs, up to a GeForce GTX 1070 or a Radeon RX 580. The Nitro 50 range should be enough for AAA games in 1080p resolution.
Following the gaming PC, Acer has unveiled the Predator Helios 500. This gaming laptop is equipped with a 17.3-inch panel with 144Hz refresh rate and 1080p or 2160p resolution. Under the hood of the upcoming Helios 500 you can find up to a Intel Core i9 CPU, a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card (not the Max-Q variant) and up to 16GB of memory. Last but not least, Acer can install two SSD NVMe with 1TB of capacity in RAID0.
Price wise, the Predator Orion 5000 starts at £1499 GBP and at the moment is available only in UK. The Nitro 50 range will start shipping worldwide in July and the starting price is set to £599 GBP, while Helios 500 prices starting at £1799 GBP.
