Scythe unveils Ninja 5 CPU cooler

Quad tower cooler with top cover

Although liquid cooling AIOs are more affordable and usually easier to mount, some people still prefer the reliability and lifespan of tower CPU coolers. To be honest, we use a Noctua twin tower coolers for most of our CPU benchmarks since they don't require any addional support or bracket (for radiators for example). According to Scythe, the Ninja 5 cooler can deliver exellent performance.

With the Ninja 5, Scythe offers a heavy tower CPU cooler with six copper heatpipes and several aluminum fins. The cooler measures 138 x 180 x 155mm (WxHxD) and weight 1200 grams with two fans attached. Those fans spin from 300 up to 800 RPM and they can produce up to 43 CFM. Due to the size and its weight, this cooler is definetely a big monster.

Scythe includes in the delivery a couple of Kaze Flex 120 PWM fans. The Ninja 5 is compatible with both Intel or AMD worlds. At the moment there isn't any information regarding the compatibility with AMD TR4 socket.

The Scythe Ninja 5 is available on Geizhals for almost 50 Euro.
