Gigabyte today introduces the AORUS Z370 Ultra Gaming 2.0, a similar revision to the original Z370 Ultra Gaming. Compared to the previous version, the Rev 2.0 comes now with 11 phase CPU VRM and a thicker heatsink.
The Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming 2.0 is based on an ATX form factor, yet this time Gigabyte is using all the space available on the PCB. The Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming 2.0 also comes with RGB backlight underneath each heat sink and there are steel reinforcements on the PCIe slots. In general the layout is quite simple and therefore it has also been equipped with three full-sized PCIe 3.0 x16 slots.
Storage wise, there are six angled SATA-III ports. Apart from that you get two M.2 slots allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. While one M.2 slots is placed in the middle of the motherboard and is compatible with 22110 units, the second one is in the bottom area and it supports 2280 SSDs.
Gigabyte equips the Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming 2.0 with one PS/2 port, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, four USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A ports and four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports. Furthermore there is one Gigabit Ethernet ports and the analogue audio panel with optical out. At a first glance this is certainly a good looking motherboard.
