Intel Core i9-8950HK spotted again

This time inside a high-end MSI laptop

A few months ago, an AIDA64 update unveiled a long list of mobile processors that included Coffee Lake-H and Coffee Lake-S processors intended for laptops. The most interesting model was the Core i9-8950HK since this is going to be the first Core i9 processor for laptop.

This time the leak comes from 3DMark database, where a new MSI laptop was tested featuring two GTX 1080 GPUs and the Core i9-8950HK processor. According to the specifications posted on AIDA64, the upcoming Core i9-8950HK should pack six cores and twelve threads. Due to the suffix "HK", this processor should be unlocked and ready to be overclocked.

According to the 3DMark leak, the Core i9-8950HK sports 2.90GHz base clock and 4.80GHz boost clock. At the moment this is all the information that we have, but it looks like that laptop makers are developing high-end models based on this powerful CPU.

On following you can find more details about the upcoming models.
