During the pre-CES press day earlier this month, AMD has unveiled its CPU roadmap for the year. According to the roadmap, AMD has confirmed that we would be getting the first Ryzen "Raven Ridge" APUs quite soon. The company has unveiled now the specs for the Ryzen 5 2400G and the Ryzen 3 2200G APUs.

These new APUs with codenamed Raven Ridge will be powered by Ryzen desktop processors with Radeon Vega graphics built in. According to AMD's new product pages, the Ryzen 5 2400G will sport four cores with eight threads, while the Ryzen 3 2200G will come with four cores and four threads. Frequency wise, the Ryzen 5 2400G features a max CPU boost clock of 3.90GHz and up to 1250MHz on the GPU.

The Ryzen 3 2200G comes with similar clock speeds, it packs 3.70GHz on the CPU and 1100MHz on the graphic department. Furthermore, while the Ryzen 5 2400G comes with 11 graphics compute units, the Ryzen 3 2200G has just 8 units. Both APUs come with the same amount of L2/L3 cache (6MB) and TDP (45W-65W).

Both APUs are expected to launch during next months. At CES this month, we learned that the Ryzen 5 2400G will have a suggested retail price of $169, meanwhile the Ryzen 3 2200G will have a suggested price of $99.
