BenQ unveils flagship display SW271 for photographers

27-inch, 4K resolution and HDR capability

BenQ announced the SW271 monitor for photographers, which features a 27-inch panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution and IPS panel. Apart from that BenQ states that the panel used covers 99% of the Adobe RGB spectrum and 100% in the case of the sRGB profile.

Apparently the BenQ SW271 is no small display. Being equipped with a 27-inch panel the dimensions are 608 x 355mm (width x height). Checking on the viewing angle we find the IPS typical 178/178 degrees. The refresh rate is set to 60Hz with a response time, GTG, of 5ms, which is also on an expected level. According to BenQ, the SW271 represents the company's flagship photographer monitor, offering wide color gamut.

The SW271 comes with different modes like for instance the GamutDuo and Black and White. With the GamutDuo Mode you can use two different color spaces at same time and side by side, while with Black and White mode you can just turn your scene in black and white film effect. Regarding connectivity, we find a card reader, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, two HDMI 2.0a and one DisplayPort 1.4 port.

The BenQ SW271 display is now available from multiple retailers in the U.S. and in Europe for around 1200€ ($1150 USD).
