The Expedition A320M Gaming from ASUS is an entry-level motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. According to ASUS, this motherboard is designed for iCafe and eSports Bar. The Expedition A320M offers all the essential connectivity needed for a gaming rig.
The Expedition A320M Gaming is based on an micro-ATX form factor with four DIMM slots. There is RGB backlight on the bottom right corner and there is a steel reinforcements on one full-sized PCIe slot. In general the layout is quite simple. There is one full-sized PCIe 3.0 slot, one PCIe 2.0 x4 and one PCIe 2.0 x1 slot.
In the storage department there are four SATA ports and none of them have been angled. Apart from that you get one M.2 slot allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The M.2 slot is placed in the middle of the motherboard and it's compatible with 2280 units.
In terms of pricing this particular board is placed somewhere between the entry-level and mid-range market segment. In the case of the A320 we generally believe that there are some interesting boards based on this chipset. In order to keep the price low, ASUS uses ethernet and audio chips from Realtek. The ASUS Expedition A320M Gaming will become available during next months.
