ASUS has updated their gaming monitor lineup with a new curved display which goes by the name Swift PG27VQ. This monitor sports a 27-inch panel with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Meanwhile ASUS should also release the ROG Swift PG27UQ monitor that has been delayed several times.
As we already mentioned the Swift PG27VQ monitor is going to be equipped with a 27-inch panel and 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. On the connector side of things there is one HDMI 1.4 connector and two DisplayPort 1.2 ports. The display is based on an TN panel with 1000:1 contrast ratio and 400 cd/m2 brightness. ASUS is marketing this display as a gaming monitor and it supports G-Sync. The refresh rate is set to up to 165 Hz and the grey-to-grey response time is 1ms. On top of the specs there is a very well-built thin frame and stand, which allow for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment.
So far ASUS has not revealed any details on pricing and availability. Since there aren't many details on the Swift PG27VQ, we are wondering if we're ever going to see their ROG Swift PG27UQ, which is still missing in the vendor's portfolio.
