Corsair has announced that from now on they’re the exclusive supplier of memory in the case of Lenovo’s upcoming gaming PCs. The first Lenovo gaming PC that is going to be equipped with Corsair memory will be the Legion Y920. Becoming partner of Lenovo on such a level is certainly a volume deal.
In the case of the Lenovo’s Legion Y920 gaming PC Corsair is going to supply their Vengeance LPX memory kits. Apart from that the PC features Intel’s current flagship K-series Kaby Lake CPU and a GTX 10 series graphics card. According to Corsair these systems are to arrive on the market by September.
Corsair could potentially supply more than “just” memory for Lenovo’s gaming PCs. It will be interesting so see if in future Lenovo is also going to make use of closed-loop water cooling units, power supplies or even cases from Corsair. It certainly looks like this is a deal with a lot of potential for Corsair while on the other hand Lenovo benefits from Corsair’s good name in the components industry.
